Gloomy Johore Bahru

It was a really dark and gloomy trip down South of Peninsular Malaysia (Johore Bahru to be exact) recently .... it rain and rain and rain throughout the whole trip and the only lucky thing was, I went down for a business trip (Thank GOD its not for holidays !!!!!)

Nothing much happening down south except that its famous for its "in-security" everytime that I went out especially at night ..... basically work, work and work !!!! Food are so-so .... except for the "Otak-Otak" that I bought from Muar was really nice ! Other than that no excitement at all..... BORING !!!



It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that are difficult !

Ninja (From Malaysia)

Its official ! The Ninja's are here in Malaysia .... the Ninja Restaurant !

Ninja Jones Izakaya located at the Northport of Mid Valley City ....

Went over to this japanese restaurant during the weekend .... its a very interesting Japanese restaurant (a little bit on the high price side but worth it with the nice ambience and waiters in Ninja uniform !) Not to forget about the superb food they serve ! Nice and delicious ....

The main entrance is also very interesting with secret button to push for opening the door.

Definately worth recommending to friends !

We went for a drink and some snacks after the heavy dinner (you can see what a bunch of gluts we are !!!!) We headed to this place in Damansara Heights - "Chef & Brew" a cool chick hang out place mainly for people staying around the area (i guess lah) ... a very relaxing place with smooth music as back ground and quite a good range of drinks (cocktails, fruit juices, beers, wine and others) a suitable place to go when you have nothing to do and just want to sit and relax ..... and thats basically what we did !

Happiness consists more in small conveniences or pleasures that occur every day, than in great pieces of good fortune that happen but seldom !

Birthday Party Cup Cakes

Was at a birthday party yesterday ..... it coincide with the first day of Hari Raya ....

Its was really traffic jam free ! Took me so fast to get to the place that I was extremely early .... nevermind that !

The gathering was at Oriental Pavilion, Jaya 33 Petaling Jaya.

Food was really great .... did not have pictures for you on the food but my top 3 dishes for the night :
(1) The sharks fin soup doubleboiled with mushroom etc
(2) The starter seafood cold dish served on a mountain of snow
(3) Garlic baked prawn .... a little too much garlic but it was nice !

We had cupcakes instead of the normal birthday cake and to my delight they looked too good to be eaten ..... and when i tasted them it taste as good as it looks ... wow what a way to end the meal ! It looked so nice that i could not resist to take them down with my mobile phone camera.
Don't they just looked great ?



Pleasure is very seldom found where it is sought, our brightest blazes of galdness are commonly kindled by unexpected sparks.

The wonderful borneo .... with its beautiful beaches and friendly people .....

To summarized it all nice place, good food, friendly people, lot of foreign workers (especially Filipino in Kota Kinabalu) and many Africans over at Kuching..... many cheap pirated DVD from China too in Kuching .... he he he

Was there recently and as usual was on my business trip ..... aiyah .... when will i get my holiday ? .... hope its not too long !

Anyway, started off in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah ..... one thing that i would miss there will be the seafood ... yum yum yum. Did not get a chance to do any leisure sightseeing, so its only the food that is capturing me for the time being.

Scenic view of the islands in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah ...... and some of the new malls in town ... but rest assure, more giant shopping malls will be expected by next year ... One Borneo, Times KK etc.

Next stop, Kuching, Sarawak - known as the city of CATS....meow ! meow !
